The Delock PCI Express card expands the PC with two external USB 5 Gbps ports as well as two internal USB 5 Gbps ports. Various USB devices, such as USB sticks, card readers, external enclosures, etc., can be connected.

The Delock PCIe card provides two dedicated 5 Gbit/s channels, with each channel connected to two USB ports. This setup with independent ports enhances performance by transferring data over two separate PCI Express channels, allowing for faster data transmission. When multiple USB devices are connected to a conventional PCI Express card (Single Bus), the maximum bandwidth is divided among all ports. Due to the two host controller chipsets used in the Delock card, only two ports utilize a channel instead of four. This reduces bottlenecks and doubles the available bandwidth.

Thanks to the on-board 5 V DC power regulation, the PCIe card does not require an additional power supply.
