Delock

Delock RJ45 Secure Cat. 6A Cable, 2 m. RJ-45 - RJ-45, Cat 6A. S/STP shielding, halogen-free cable jacket. Length: 2 m, white, round, lockable. This network cable from Delock is used to connect various network devices, such as from a patch panel to a switch. The connector can be locked into the RJ45 socket, which protects the cable from being removed. At the same time, the socket is locked and secured against unauthorized use. This allows for controlled physical access to the network in security-sensitive areas, such as public spaces or data centers. The included tool is required to release the lock. Halogen-free jacket: Unlike conventional PVC cables, these cables are halogen-free, which eliminates the dangerous release of halogen-containing combustion gases and minimizes smoke generation. Halogen-free cables are also flame-retardant, and there is no dangerous ignition cord effect. Category 6A: Category 6 augmented (Cat 6A) is a standard that results from the increased bandwidth requirements of 10-Gigabit Ethernet (10 GBASE-T). Cat 6A cables are designed for transmission frequencies up to 500 MHz and distances up to 100 m, and they are backward compatible with existing categories. Screened Shielded Twisted Pair (S/STP): This S/STP cable has an overall shielding made of braided shielding in addition to the individual shielding of the twisted pairs. Shielded cables exhibit little impedance or reactance deviations compared to unshielded cables. The transmission parameters remain relatively constant and better than those of UTP cables, even at high frequencies.

Patch cable type

The cable type, describes the structure of a network cable. Fiber optic cables are suitable for distribution over longer distances (up to 80 km) and are resistant to interference. Copper cables can be used for distances up to 100 m and are cheaper to purchase.

Contact assignment

The contact assignment provides information on how the network cable can be used. An uncrossed cable can be used to connect terminals to the network, while a crossed cable can be used to connect two terminals.
