The Dell/EMC Emulex LPe16002 Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapters (HBAs) offer highly integrable Fibre Channel connectivity options with 16 Gbit/s for mid-range enterprise and SAN networks. This card delivers state-of-the-art technology through a 6th generation Emulex Fibre Channel controller. The throughput can be significantly increased due to the connection between PCI Express and 16 Gbit/s Fibre Channel, as well as the performance provided by the 16 buffer credits and a 1024 context cache.

This card features high compatibility, as it uses the same driver as Emulex PCIe HBAs. Additionally, it can be used with previous models of Emulex HBAs. The firmware and drivers can be easily updated independently, allowing existing devices to continue to be utilized.
