The Darkglass Hyper Luminal Hybrid Compressor is the first compressor pedal developed with a hybrid approach: an analog VCA circuit controlled by a digital side-chain, offering three tonal variations of the legendary compressor type while maintaining the analog signal path.
The Blend control allows for mixing the original and processed signals. Unlike Darkglass distortion pedals, the Blend functionality is set before the output, enabling the pedal to be used as a transparent booster when the Blend setting is minimized. The Time control adjusts the attack and release times of the compressor. With the Darkglass Suite software, you can create custom times.
The Hyper Luminal Hybrid Compressor pedal can only be used with a power supply (regulated 9VDC power supply, negative center - not included in the package).
