Referred to as Custom Light, the EJ26 strings are an original hybrid gauge from D'Addario, offering a comfortable compromise for players who desire the depth and projection of light bass strings but prefer slightly less tension on the high strings for easier bending.

Phosphor bronze was introduced by D'Addario into string manufacturing in 1974 and has since become synonymous with a warm, bright, and well-balanced acoustic sound. D'Addario Phosphor Bronze strings are precisely wound with corrosion-resistant phosphor bronze around a carefully drawn, hexagonally shaped high-carbon steel core.
