This temperature differential switch can measure temperatures at two different locations and switches a relay on or off depending on the temperature difference. A typical application for this circuit is its use with solar collectors: the circulation pump is activated only when there is a sufficiently large temperature difference between the supply and return lines. You can set the switching temperature using a precise spindle trimmer. There is an on-control indicator via LED.
