NFC-V Compatibility
NFC is the technology behind Tap-to-Pay and Keyless Entry. Soon, you will be able to sign a transaction by tapping your Coldcard, but only if you choose to do so. The NFC function is turned off by default and can be permanently disabled by cutting a trace on the circuit board. No other functions utilize the destructible trace. Those who choose to activate NFC can use it for all PSBT (Partially Signed Bitcoin Transactions), address sharing, and similar data.

USB Virtual Disk Mode
Another option for data transfer is the Virtual Disk Mode: connect the Mk4 to a computer or mobile phone, and the computer will recognize the Mk4 as a 4-MB USB stick. Using your Coldcard Mk4 with web browsers and other PSBT sources is effortless, as you can save directly on your Mk4.

Enhanced Performance and Security
The Mk4 takes advantage of its new hardware to enable faster and more secure transactions. Two secure elements from two manufacturers minimize the risk of unknown security vulnerabilities.
