This SAS/SATA backplane and the detachable bays are exclusively designed and made of SECC steel, making them especially suited for keeping HDDs and SSDs cool. The backplane is plug and play compatible and supports hot swapping. With an 80mm fan, even the fastest HDDs and SSDs are kept cool. The operating status of each HDD/SSD, as well as the power and activity of the fans, is indicated on the front of the backplane by LEDs.
