Product details
Especially in winter, it often happens that your vehicle simply won't start. Long periods of inactivity can cause a car's battery to discharge, and low temperatures can also be a reason for battery failure. One way to still start the car in this situation is by using a jump starter cable. cartrend offers such a starter cable.
It features a copper-coated aluminum core and comes with a red and a black cable, each equipped with fully insulated Best-Contact clamps. Connecting the cable is relatively simple and follows the color coding. First, a battery from another car is needed. Then, it must be ensured that the correct clamps are connected. The red cable of the cartrend starter cable always represents the side that should be connected to the positive terminal of both the starter battery and the donor battery. The black starter cable should be connected to the negative terminal of both the starter battery and the donor battery. While the donor vehicle is running, an attempt can be made to start the engine of the other vehicle.
The cables with copper-aluminum technology correspond to the conductivity of a 16 mm² copper starter cable, thus meeting DIN 72553 standards. The starter cable is suitable for combustion engines up to 2,500 cm³ and a voltage of 12V and 24V. The cable comes in a practical and resealable storage bag, protecting it from damage and ensuring it's always readily available.
