Product details

The Canon XF100 is the smallest Canon camcorder with MPEG-2 recording, 50 Mbps, and Full HD codec 4:2:2. CF card recording, professional audio connections, and comprehensive configuration options make it suitable for versatile use.

The XF100 records MPEG-2 files in the MXF (Media eXchange Format) standard at up to 50 Mbps and 4:2:2 color scanning. The Full HD videos are stored with up to 1,920 x 1,080 pixels on inexpensive and popular CF cards (CompactFlash). Two card slots and relay recording allow you to record movies without interruption, and with Double Slot Recording, you can store the video material simultaneously on both cards.

The camcorder offers an exceptional range of functions, and its robust yet lightweight construction makes it suitable for versatile use. The audio performance is impressive: the Linear PCM audio format can be recorded via the two XLR inputs or through the stereo microphone located at the front.

The fast HD video lens with wide-angle optical zoom (1:1.8-2.8, 30.4 mm) is based on Canon's extensive experience in TV lenses. It features an integrated control ring for adjusting zoom, sharpness, and aperture. An enhanced optical image stabilization system minimizes blur while reducing lens size and maintaining high image sharpness.

Canon's 2.07 megapixel Full HD CMOS sensor, designed for Full HD video recording at a native resolution of 1,920 x 1,080, includes a Bayer Pattern color filter for high sensitivity and wide dynamic range, and high-speed data reading minimizes rolling shutter effects.

Genlock and the 3D Recording Wizard (OIS axis shift and focal length adjustment) support 3D stereo recording with two camcorders. With twice the infrared sensitivity of previous models, a new infrared shooting mode, and a built-in infrared light, it is ideal for low-light shooting. To help you capture your favorite shots, green or white options can also be activated.
