Fits the EF-S 35mm 1:2.8 Macro IS STM lens and reduces reflections caused by light hitting the front lens directly. This prevents the formation of stray light that could otherwise degrade the quality of your photos due to internal reflections. When used with the EF-S 35mm 1:2.8 Macro IS STM, it also prevents the macro light from being reflected in the subject. A thread allows for the attachment of 49mm filters, such as the Canon 49mm protection filter.
