With the Broncolor RFS 2.2 radio system, one or more Broncolor devices equipped with a built-in RFS 2 or RFS 2.1 interface can be triggered or controlled remotely. Generators and compact devices not equipped with RFS 2 or 2.1 interfaces can be operated by connecting an RFS 2.1 transceiver (as a receiver).

The Broncolor RFS 2.2 is compatible with Canon, Nikon, and Sony cameras.

The transceiver can be operated in two modes. In battery operation, the device is always in transmit mode and functions as a transmitter. When powered by the optional power supply via the USB input (included with the Bron receiver kit), the device automatically switches to receive mode and operates as a receiver. Manual switching between modes is not possible.

The operating distance is up to 30 m indoors and even up to 50 m outdoors. The transceiver is powered by 2 AA batteries.
