Based on Broadcom's scalable 10/25/50/100G Ethernet controller architecture, the NetXtreme®-E Series standard PCIe network interface cards (NICs) can be used to create highly scalable, feature-rich RoCE network solutions in servers for enterprise and cloud applications, including telecommunications.

The NetXtreme®-E Series meets the performance and service requirements of mega-scale data center networks for high throughput rates and advanced flow processing. Features like TruFlow™ increase VM density by up to 50 percent, thereby creating more CPU cycles for additional virtual machines. On-chip processing of tunneling protocols for Geneve, VXLAN, and NVGRE enables up to a 5-fold increase in throughput and reduces CPU utilization by up to 90 percent compared to purely software-based solutions. The NetXtreme®-E Series controllers also support advanced networking technologies such as RoCE, SDN, and NFV to facilitate data network management and enable solutions for service providers.
