Product details

The Gilmore Red Lion is a racing aircraft from the early 1930s. Roscoe Turner, with financial support from the Gilmore Oil Company, commissioned Wedell Williams ASC to develop a racing plane at that time. The first version crashed during a test flight, but the test pilot Jimmy Wedell emerged with only minor injuries. The second, improved version was delivered to Roscoe Turner in mid-1932. This model of the Gilmore Red Lion is a very nice representation and can be equipped with either a combustion engine or electric drive.
