For easy, cross-system lens usage, a special third-party lens adapter is necessary to combine lenses and camera bodies with different bayonet mounts. This allows even older lens treasures to be brought into the digital age. It should be noted that there is no transmission of autofocus and aperture control when using this combination. The subject must be focused manually. Canon FD lenses can be attached to cameras with a Sony E mount using this adapter.
