For simple, cross-system lens usage, a special third-party lens adapter is necessary to combine lenses and camera bodies with different bayonet mounts. This allows even older lens treasures to be saved for the digital age.
It is important to note that there is no transfer of autofocus and aperture control when combining. The subject must be focused manually.
The aperture setting on Nikon G-series lenses (which lack an aperture ring) can be controlled using a special ring on the adapter.
Nikon lenses can be mounted on cameras with an MFT bayonet using this adapter.
