For simple, cross-system lens usage, a special third-party lens adapter is necessary to combine lenses and camera bodies with different bayonet mounts. This allows even older lens treasures to be brought into the digital age. It should be noted that when combining, there is no transfer of autofocus and aperture control. The subject must be focused manually. Pentacon Six medium format lenses can be mounted on cameras with a Sony E mount using this adapter.
