Maximum energy efficiency is achieved through the automatic shutdown of the 1300 W heating element upon reaching the boiling point. With just 500 watts, up to 5 liters can be quietly simmered or kept at a near-boiling temperature of about 98 °C without the water splashing upwards like it does when boiling – it merely bubbles. Depending on the temperature setting, the water can also be kept hot or warm with minimal evaporation. If you want to bring it back to a boil, it takes only a few seconds to a few minutes depending on the contents.
