The Beechcraft Model 65 Queen Air is a light twin-engine propeller aircraft manufactured by the American company Beechcraft. It can accommodate up to nine passengers. The Queen Air was developed based on the smaller Twin Bonanza, from which the wings, engines, landing gear, and tail were taken. The prototype of the Model 65 made its first flight on August 28, 1958. This model featured two Lycoming IGSO480 A1E6 piston engines with 255 kW. The FAA certification was granted on February 1, 1959. It was possible to shorten the takeoff distance using rocket-assisted takeoff. The seating can be removed from the interior to use the aircraft as a cargo plane with a cargo space of 7.53 m³.
