Superman's greatest enemy has returned to cause trouble for pets in Metropolis. With his immense intellect and resources, Lex Luthor has devised a plan to capture all the stray animals throughout the city and house them in his new LexCorp Zoo. Dogs, cats, fish, snakes, birds... it doesn't matter, Lex wants to catch them all! Lex is using his army of LexBots to abduct stray animals from all over Metropolis. Krypto and Ace are determined to thwart this nefarious plan. The heroes must stop Lex, rescue all the homeless animals, and take them to an adoption center to find a new loving home.

Switch between Krypto and Ace to take the lead in the upcoming movie. Get help from friends like PB, Merton, and Chip to fight against Lex with their powers. Enhance your abilities and equipment. Assist Chip, Merton, and PB in unlocking new and powerful upgrades. Each subsequent ability unlocked for Krypto and Ace will be thematically tied to the character from whom they learned it. For example, Green Lantern's fluffy friend – Chip – will give Ace the power to shoot a large green light beam that obliterates all enemies in its path.

Throughout the game, each character has three unique abilities at their disposal. Face Superman's arch-nemesis and battle Lex and his machines: Lex Bot, LexBot Snake, LexBot Octopus, and the various types of standard enemies you encounter along the way. Complete missions in Metropolis and rescue stray pets from Lex Luthor's clutches. Place pets in your own Pet Adoption Center. Take care of their needs and find a suitable home for them in the metropolis.
