The AXAGON PCEM2-DC is an internal adapter that allows both NVMe and SATA M.2 SSDs to connect to a PC via a PCI Express slot. This is particularly advantageous for systems that either lack an M.2 slot or where the existing slots are already occupied. The adapter supports a variety of M.2 form factors, including 2230, 2242, 2260, 2280, and 22110, and can be installed in PCIe 3.0 x16, x8, and x4 slots. Power is supplied directly through the PCI Express bus, eliminating the need for an external power source. The PCEM2-DC features passive cooling and includes an LED indicator to show operational status. Installation is user-friendly, as the adapter is plug-and-play and compatible with various Windows and Linux operating systems.
