The ROG Maximus Z790 Hero EVA-02 Edition is the result of a new collaboration featuring EVA-02 and Asuka from the long-celebrated anime series Evangelion. With EVA-02's distinctive red-orange theme accented by hints of green, the artistic flourishes continue: an AT-Field design surrounds the CPU socket, and a Polymo lighting on the I/O cover switches between Asuka and normal EVA-02. The backplate design showcases the EVA-02 "The Beast" mode and Evangelion patterns, enhancing the visual appeal of the motherboard. As an ROG Maximus motherboard, it provides the necessary power, cooling, and flexible features to elevate performance to the next level.
