Description The Areca RAID controller ARC-1883i is equipped with a PCIe 3.0 port with eight lanes and two SFF-8643 connectors, allowing the management of up to eight rotating hard drives and SSDs of the types SAS-12Gb/s and SATA, and even up to 256 with a SAS expander, in RAID levels 0, 00, 1, 10, 100, 3, 5, 6, 30, 50, 60, Single Disk, and JBOD. This allows you to tailor the ARC-1883i RAIDs flexibly to your requirements. The hardware features of the ARC-1883i include a dual-core RAID-on-Chip processor with 1.2 GHz and 2 GB DDR3-1866 SDRAM, which, together with the advanced Areca firmware of the controller, provide significant performance improvements for demanding IT applications in modern server and storage environments. The ARC-1883i supports operating systems such as Windows, Linux, FreeBSD, Solaris, Mac OS, and VMware, enabling seamless cross-platform use. The RAID management functions.
