Aputure Light Storm mini 20c

The LS-Mini 20c is a mini studio light with an adjustable Fresnel lens for regulating the beam angle. The adjustment range spans from a spot-like 20 degrees to a relatively wide 60 degrees. The color temperature is also continuously adjustable, ranging from tungsten-like 3200 K to daylight-like 6500 K. However, there are some compromises compared to the Daylight variant LS-Mini 20d in terms of light output. At a lens setting of 60 degrees, the illuminance is only 720 Lux at 100 cm. But regarding light quality, both variants are almost on par. The CRI and TLCI values of the light are at 96+. The high light quality contributes to recordings with realistic colors.

The LS-Mini 20c combines relatively high light output with very compact dimensions. The light fits into an average-sized camera bag. Additionally, it has a relatively low weight. Its high portability makes the LS-Mini 20c an ideal tool for on-location shoots where one travels light. You can even fit multiple lights in your carry-on luggage. With its 720 Lux at a beam angle of 60 degrees, the LS-Mini 20c is not necessarily the perfect key light. However, its true strength lies in its use as an auxiliary light source. In this role, the light can serve as fill light, hair light, edge light, or background light.

The LS-Mini 20c offers numerous options for power supply. This includes Sony NP-F series lithium-ion batteries, mains power, power banks, or V-Mount batteries. A Li-Ion battery is included, which corresponds to the Sony NP-F970. A power supply unit, including a C13 power cable, is also included. Power banks and V-Mount batteries are available separately. The package includes a D-Tap cable and a USB cable, which can be used to connect power banks or V-Mount batteries to the XLR connector of the light.
