AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2950X
TR4, 3.50 GHz, 16 -CoreProduct details
The powerful Threadripper CPUs are the pinnacle of AMD's Ryzen processor series. They are aimed at professional content creators and enthusiasts, running on motherboards with AMD's X399 chipset. The high-end CPUs not only achieve impressive results in benchmark programs but are also more energy-efficient under full load compared to Intel's equivalent models. Everything about Threadripper is twice as large as previous Ryzen CPUs: the processor has double the number of cores and double the number of memory channels. Additionally, it offers full PCI Express support with 64 lanes. Four of these lanes connect to the chipset, while the remaining 60 can accommodate up to seven PCI Express devices - for example, up to four graphics cards and three NVMe SSDs simultaneously. Other Ryzen CPUs support DDR4 memory in dual-channel mode, while Threadripper supports quad-channel DDR4 with ECC. Thanks to AMD SenseMI Technology, the processor delivers adaptable performance. AMD SenseMI automatically ramps the processor to peak speed when the PC requires more power for demanding tasks. This means you have the performance available when you need it, while keeping power consumption low during normal operation. To extract maximum performance from the Ryzen CPUs, processors with the X suffix are equipped with the new XFR feature. XFR allows these CPUs to automatically overclock beyond the regular boost clock. The maximum clock rate adjusts according to the cooling solution used, whether it's air, water, or liquid nitrogen. With the AMD Ryzen Master tool, you can easily overclock the CPU thanks to its unlocked multiplier. In AMD Ryzen Master, you can also keep track of the temperature and much more with ease. Note: Boxed version without CPU cooler.
