Dank der hohen Auflösung macht Lesen auf dem Paperwhite viel Spaß. Der teurere Kindle Voyage ist zwar etwas besser, aber wer sich am etwas höheren Gewicht nicht stört, spart 60 Euro.

Am Ende steht das Ergebnis, dass sich die enormen Preisunterschiede zwischen dem Paperwhite, dem Voyage und dem Oasis technisch kaum bemerkbar machen. Allenfalls optisch und in der Bedienung gibt es kleinere Unterschiede. Das Display ist bei allen drei Geräten nahezu identisch - Abweichungen gibt es lediglich in der Art der Beleuchtung...

Das Vorgängermodell war bereist zum Lesen ein exzellentes Gerät, das nun nochmals verbessert wurde. Durch einen Bildschirm, der besser beleuchtet sowie eine höhere Auflösung mitbringt, ist das 2015er Modell nochmals hochwertiger. Durch die gute Beleuchtung ist der Reader auch bei wenig Licht gut zu bedienen und die Text lasen sich ebenfalls toll lesen...

Das neue Paperwhite ist wohl vielen Konkurrenten sowohl bei der Performance als auch der Ausstattung überlegen. Die schnelle CPU arbeitet bei den Menüs ebenso flott wie bei großen Datenmengen, sodass sie immer flüssig verläuft. Highlight ist allerdings das hochauflösende Display, das beim Lesen einfach Riesenspaß macht und mit hohem Kontrast glänzen kann...

Dank der hohen Auflösung macht Lesen auf dem neuen Kindle Paperwhite viel Spaß. Der teurere Kindle Voyage ist aber etwas leichter und robuster: Wer den Paperwite vor Stürzen schützen will, braucht zusätzlich eine Hülle. Wie die anderen Kindle-Reader ist er streng mit Amazons Online-Shop verbandelt: Bücher im offenen ePub-Format sind darauf nur über Umwege lesbar ? schade!
