Alphacool 24829 Computer cooling system universal fan (e)

The Alphacool ES fans have been specifically designed for use in servers and workstations. Unlike the usual options, they do not feature a 2- or 3-pin DC power connector, but rather a 4-pin PWM control. Instead of relying on the standard 2 cables or the 3-pin connection, Alphacool now incorporates a modern 4-pin PWM connector in its enterprise fans, which is increasingly supported by server motherboards. Through the 4-pin PWM connection, the fan always receives full voltage and is controlled via pulse width modulation. This allows for a significantly wider range of speed regulation. By controlling the fans in server racks, a substantial amount of energy can be saved. With a 0% PWM signal, the fans can even be completely stopped. The fan also features a soft start, which increases its lifespan and reduces the risk of injury, especially at speeds of several thousand revolutions per minute.
