The handheld radio AE 2990 AFS is a multi-standard CB handheld device that can be switched to all standards and operating modes available in Europe. The device can be used as a portable unit with batteries, as a vehicle device, or as a fixed station with mobile or base antennas. With the Hi/Low-Power switch, you can adjust the output power - in Low-Power mode, battery life is significantly extended. Hi/Low Power is switchable or selectable to prolong battery life, and the Channel 9/19 Lock feature allows all buttons to be locked. The SQ setting adjusts the squelch level (stored on the bar graph). RF Gain optimizes the incoming signal. It complies with European standards EN 300 433-2 and EN 300 135-2. It can be upgraded for licensed amateur radio operators on amateur radio frequencies.
