Akasa Viper R PWM fan

After the Apache successfully hunted in the realm of high-end fans, Akasa expands its premium PWM fan series with the Viper. This fan is already known from the Venom CPU cooler, where it has proven its excellent performance, providing an optimal compromise between high cooling efficiency and low noise levels.

The optimized shape of the fan blades is primarily responsible for this. They are S-shaped, which is intended to move more air at the same speed. This, in turn, allows for a reduction in speed to decrease noise levels while maintaining the same airflow.

As a result of these efforts, the fan achieves a minimal noise level of 7 dB(A) at 600 RPM. However, via the PWM connection and a compatible motherboard, the fan can be accelerated up to 1,600 RPM, moving an impressive 185.1 m³/h of air. The PWM technology incorporates Soft Switching Commutation technology, ensuring smooth and quiet operation. This results in high flexibility, allowing the Viper to be used in systems ranging from silent to overclocking setups.

To further reduce noise, four rubber pins are included. These provide decoupling from the case or cooler, preventing vibration transmission.
