The Akasa USB 3.1 Gen2 and Quick Charge Panel is equipped with two USB 3.1 Type-A ports and two Quick Charge 3.0 connectors, and can be installed in an external 3.5-inch bay of a case. The advantage is that the ports can be accessed quickly and conveniently without having to fumble around at the back of the case.

The two ports can deliver up to 18 watts, allowing for the charging of devices connected via Quick Charge. The power requirement is supplied by an internal SATA connection from the power supply. The USB ports on the front panel are connected via cables to the respective internal slots on the motherboard.
