Servos are part of the RC system and serve as the foundation of a remote-controlled model. They are connected to the steering linkage and translate stick or rotation movements from the transmitter into steering movements in the vehicle. In combustion vehicles, they also function as throttle servos, operating both the throttle of the carburetor and the brake. An undersized servo has a longer response time and a shorter lifespan under load. Therefore, never skimp on the servo! A good servo doesn't have to be expensive, but it makes the model more reliable and lasts for years. In 1/8 and 1/10 RC cars, only standard-sized or low-profile servos are used.
