The safety terminal MT/U2.12.2 is used as an interface between sensors in safety technology and the KNX. The device has inputs, known as detector groups. These are used for the monitored connection of passive detectors (e.g., magnetic contacts and/or glass break sensors) to ABB i-bus® KNX or for connecting potential-free contacts in applications with increased safety requirements. There are 2 relay contacts available for direct control of signal transmitters or reporting status information. The safety terminal can be used as a system with independent alarm logic or in combination with the safety module SCM/S or an intrusion alarm control panel. The device requires an external 12 V DC SELV auxiliary voltage.
