Product details
F-ATI and F-ARI are RCCBs with an automatic uninterruptible test function. Depending on the application, RCCBs should be tested at least every six months. This ensures that the contacts function properly and that the device trips in the event of a residual current to earth. Regular testing of the RCCBs has an impact on the uninterrupted operation of the downstream circuits and involves a great deal of labour. Using the F-ATI and F-ARI eliminates this workload. These RCDs carry out the regular tests automatically and without interrupting the system. Operation by maintenance personnel can therefore be reduced to a minimum. In addition to the automatic tests, the F-ARI series is equipped with an automatic reclosing unit to close the RCCB again after it has tripped. This is specially designed for areas to which only electrically trained persons or qualified electricians have access. Reclosing is based on an insulation test to ensure that the fault is not permanent. The results of all circuits are also collected via the ARBus interface.
