Scotch Tape 8959 is a standard filament tape made from a carrier material of biaxially oriented ScotchPro polypropylene film (BOPP) and a solvent-free synthetic rubber adhesive. It features fiberglass reinforcement in both longitudinal and transverse directions. This extremely strong tape is suitable for demanding applications. The high-performance tape, specifically designed for packaging, combines a polypropylene carrier material reinforced with cross-laid fiberglass with a synthetic rubber resin adhesive. Our heavy-duty tape is designed for strong adhesion on a variety of surfaces, such as metal, plastic, and hardboard. A multi-layer system of synthetic rubber adhesive protects against delamination and shear forces. The Scotch bidirectional filament tape 8959 is excellent for high-strength carton reinforcement, sealing, and packaging in shipping.
