Thin soft aluminum tape with transparent adhesive for masking, sealing, heat and light reflection, covering during aluminum anodizing, and as a moisture barrier. The 3M Aluminum Tape 431 is suitable for sealing, joining, fastening, or covering in the aerospace, household appliances, and automotive industries. The tape features an acrylic adhesive. It is non-biodegradable, flame-retardant, moisture-resistant, and weather-resistant. Additionally, it is thermally conductive, heat and light reflective, making it efficient for use in heating and cooling systems. The acrylic adhesive provides temperature, UV, and solvent resistance for strong, durable, and reliable bonds. The tape is well-suited as a masking material for aluminum galvanization because it does not contaminate the bath. Due to its low water vapor diffusion rate, the tape offers excellent sealing and repair properties.
