Product details
Together with the fighter aircraft Messerschmitt Bf 109 and the dive bomber Junkers Ju-87 Stuka, the Messerschmitt Bf 110 destroyer is regarded as one of the symbols of the Luftwaffe during World War II. The heavy multi-role twin-engine fighter from Messerschmitt was indeed widely used by the German Luftwaffe during the war and employed in its various versions for different operational roles: interceptor, fighter-bomber, reconnaissance, anti-ship aircraft, and night fighter. Its two Daimler-Benz DB 601 engines, capable of delivering 1200 hp, allowed the heavy fighter to reach a maximum speed of 560 km/h. Versions C and D were extensively deployed on all fronts from the outset. Heavily armed with two 20-mm cannons, four 7.92-mm machine guns, and a rear machine gun for self-defense, it could carry bombs or additional tanks under its wings to extend its operational range.
