I have removed the SSD, type DC 2030/BC 501 NVMe, height approx. 2mm, from a broken HP notebook and would like to install it in a USB-C stick. Question 1: Is this even possible? Question 2: If so, which product would be suitable?
I've been looking for a hard drive with a card reader for my travels for hours. I record a lot of videos with the Insta360 X4 and they take up a lot of storage space. I don't want to lug around a laptop, just transfer them to the hard drive when a MicroSD is full. Is this really no longer available?
Thanks to Digitec,
I'm loyal to Kingston Brand,
I hope to see more in your website.
Recently I made purchase for SSD and RAM, honestly Kingston is a different story.

Hey guys
I am looking for a solution for our long-term data backup (archive) for my association.
I was thinking of an SSD that is checked at least once a year to see if everything is still OK, but is replaced after about 5-6 years.
Does anyone have experience or can give me product recommendations?
External SSD with USB power supply and 6TB storage space
Does anyone know whether new devices with larger storage space can be expected to be launched in the near future? It is noticeable that there are a lot of models with 4TB capacity from all the relevant manufacturers, but there is no news about this. I definitely need a model with 6TB space as well as USB power supply. And no, a 4TB + a 2TB together won't fit, as I need to have everything on one drive and there are over 5TB of music data.
I am looking for an external SSD that comes with Raid 1 (or even Raid 5) ready to use. The SSD should be small, data redundant and fast. Who knows of such a product and, at best, has already used it themselves? Thanks for information!
I am looking for an external hard drive with "password/access control".
Apart from the [Samsung Touch] which looks very good (fast and fingerprint access), are there any other alternatives? Your opinions are welcome.
Hello all
I am looking for an inexpensive external hard drive to back up important documents for school.
It should run under MacOS and also under Windows.
Do you have any recommendations for a product or what I need to look out for?
Thanks a lot
I am looking for a backup medium for my Sony Alpha 6300 that I can take with me on my travels. It should be small or light and protected against splash water and dust. Connection to the camera either USB 2.0/3.0? or with SD card reader/interface.
Hi Community
I am looking for an SSD enclosure in which I can insert a normal 2.5" SATA SSD and then connect it to the laptop, preferably via USB-C or Thunderbolt 3. Does anyone have a suggestion?)
Kind regards
Hello!
I would like to buy the new Mac Mini 2018 soon, but I find the surcharges for more SSD storage quite steep (surcharge for 1TB SSD currently over CHF 600 directly from Apple).
Now I'm thinking of buying only the smallest internal hard disk and connecting the Samsung T5 for it, for example. Will that work? What restrictions would I have to expect?
Thanks for any info!
I'm missing the "sticks" from Corsair, which the GTX models have an SSD controller, so these are more like an external SSD than a stick, the GTX achieves super-fast transfer rates. The GS is available up to 500GB, which is certainly worth considering if you don't need a huge SSD. The GS also achieves remarkable transfer rates.
Hello together,
I want an SSD for my backup. Which storage size is recommended?
On my notebook I work with a 500GB SSD and 500GB HDD. It's a very good combination but I should also make a backup on an external one.
Thanks and greetings
Alpi

Hello,
Does digitec plan to include TEKQ's SSDs in its range?
With the newly installed Phison E12 controller, they can easily hold a candle to Samsung's X5 in terms of performance and price. In addition, the heat dissipation is much better than with the X5 and the housing is also nicer. It is also 100% Mac compatible.

If you want to use a different SSD with the enclosure, you can also buy it separately :

Tests from Anandtech (here still with the old Phison E7 controller) :

Hello all
Since my hard disk recorder can no longer record digital channels, I am urgently looking for an alternative.
Yesterday evening I connected a USB stick from Kingston with 32GB, it is recognised, but I get the message that there may not be enough space and it does not record anything. I can't delete anything because there is nothing on it...
It also says that this USB stick can only be used to a limited extent! I cannot find any further details
Now I don't know what to do, I don't want to spend money and then the whole thing doesn't work.
For me the following products would come into question, does anyone know if they work?
- Samsung T3 SSD with 500GB
or
- Sandisk 256GB USB stick
=> Or what works, does anyone have experience? I assume that if I record via the TV, I have to leave the TV in standby and not switch it off completely, which I was currently allowed to do with the hard disk recorder because of the separate tuner/input, and then connect it to the TV....
Thanks in advance for the help
