Do I have to connect the panels to the home WiFi, or does 4g connection via mobile phone also work? (I have the situation at home that my room on the lower floor has no WiFi reception, but I have 4G reception with my mobile phone).
You can also establish a VPN connection from your mobile phone to the router.
This is very easy with Swissocm routers. You can set this up on the config page of your router.
If you then have the VPN from you (4G) to your network, your mobile phone acts as part of this network.
This means that you can access your home devices or control your panels from anywhere (I also did this at my old home, it works great and is not that much effort to set up).
