Expect no actual warranty service from Garmin, and if you get a defective one, expect a headache.

After a great experience with Garmin Fenix 5X+ I decided to upgrade to 6X Solar Pro. 100% disappointed:

1. The watch was defective and I had a customer service agent from Garmin suggesting me to have the watch replaced.
Garmin wanted to give me a used re-certified watch even while the watch was defective from manufacturer. This was in less than 30 days since I received the watch. I submitted the watch to Galaxus for warranty.

2. Galaxus sends the watch to the third party repair partners, who sent the watch to Garmin UK and had the watch replaced with a used one with visible damage.

3. Without Galaxus inspecting the used watch, the damaged watch comes to me as "repaired". I got furious because I have been arleady having serious quality issues with Galaxus lately.

4. After several very annoying exchanges I got in contact with an after sales specialist directly who eventually fixed everything up by arranging pick up for the new items.

I am happy with the resolution at the end from Galaxus but I seriously recommend Galaxus to reconsider their repair/supply partners. Because of these experiences I will order from Amazon.de for high value items because I do not know if what I am buying from Galaxus is new, has a real warranty coverage without a significant effort.

I am also very disgusted at Garmin's approach for "warranty" as they will try to give you a physically damaged used watch if you get a defective one. After I made very public attacks to Garmin for their "warranty" policy Garmin offered me a 7X Sapphire Pro to be quiet.

The watch itself is very nice, when you get a new one without defects, but it's a gamble because there is no real warranty from Garmin. Galaxus will eventually do the right thing, but do expect to receive low quality for now (2023-07-25). more
