Viltrox C-AF 2X
Teleconverter, Canon EF
Anyone who wants to use it to photograph fast-moving animals at a long distance, such as birds, will not be happy. There are two problems with this application. Firstly, the autofocus becomes less effective as the focal length increases. This is particularly noticeable when the object has only a small area. The second problem is the smaller aperture. The f-value doubles, which means that the ISO has to be high in order to maintain a short exposure time. Here is an example, taken with a 75-300 lens, manually focused, with an eos 2000d, without denoising.
It should also be noted that the converter does not work with EF-S lenses. These cannot be mounted at all due to their construction.
Otherwise it works as described and is an inexpensive solution.
Yes, I have read that it is for Canon EF... BUT, everything I own that is marked as EF compatible has also been EF-S compatible! Why not here is a mystery to me.
