A successful device that really makes housework easier for me, with a very good price/performance ratio.
I am very satisfied: where I used to need almost an hour with a hoover and a mop, I now have finished cleaning in 20 minutes. Ideal for our 2-person household, no pets, 90m2 with parquet and slab floors. I used it for the first time to clean the heavily soiled flagstone floor on the balcony; top!
The FC5 sucks up small dirt and short hairs without any problems and stubborn stains are also removed by wiping over them several times. I only use very little cleaning agent, if any at all, but everything is still clean and streak-free.
At first, the device was almost too heavy for me (woman/48) and I had tired arms afterwards, but after using it several times, it is much easier to handle.
In the beginning, the cable was often in my way when cleaning because there is no automatic cable reel. But when I put it over my left shoulder, I can quickly grab it with my free hand and throw it out of the way. The cable should be longer, I have to change the socket every now and then. In the meantime, we have converted the EU plug to a CH plug, so I can at least save the adapter.
Now the cleaning box just needs to be bigger so that the FC5 has room next to the hoover. We still need it, because the FC5 can't get under low furniture.Pro

There is still room for improvement
As a dog owner, the choice of this product was somehow clear. However, my impression after 8 weeks is mixed. Longer hairs and larger dirt particles are not sucked in but only wrap around the drive worms between the rollers or are only picked away. So you have to pre-suction each time. The plastic tray in which the unit is stored is also not well thought out. On the one hand, it is a bit fiddly until the thing is in it and on the other hand, you can neither remove the rollers nor the front cover for cleaning. You have to put the machine on the floor to do that. I don't find the volume disturbing, I was even surprised that it is not louder.
In itself, the device makes a high-quality impression, but the style and the base are only held by a plastic clip (cent article) that has already broken off. Then the appliance was in the service for 4 weeks.
Despite all this, the appliance makes cleaning hard floors easier and I am looking forward to the next product evolution. Kärcher would be well advised to include a pre-suction nozzle.Roller motor rusted and blocked within the first year
On our FC 5 hard floor cleaner, which has been in operation for less than a year, the rollers no longer turn.
While searching for the problem, I found out that the waste water tank has a maximum filling level of about 10% of the tank.
This undersized maximum level was probably exceeded several times.
I assumed that due to this misuse, Kärcher would deny the warranty anyway. Therefore, I disassembled the unit myself and discovered that the roller motor is completely rusted and blocked. (See also the attached photo). We are disappointed that the machine has broken down within a year. We actually liked using the FC 5.Pro

Not a bad investment
All good and no money thrown out. For the quick and easy way to mop the floor in large houses. FC5 is very easy to clean and does its job well. Cleaning agent is included.
Unfortunately, I can only give it 4 stars because when you switch it off for a short time, you need the stand to keep it from lying down. Because when you put it down, the water runs out easily. It's a bit awkward to put it back on the stand.
Caution! Hold on tight when switching on to clean the floor! As soon as it is switched on, the thing starts working on its own. Which would sometimes be desirable for people, but as an appliance?
A second point is that the FC5 cannot be tilted under furniture for cleaning. The device cannot be lowered much into the tilt. Therefore you have to wipe under the furniture again with mob or you do bodybuilding and push the furniture away.
But the FC 5 does its job very well and efficiently. It's quicker and easier than a mob. In a household with children, cones and dogs, it is quickly to hand and quick to clean.

Defective again
My second Kärcher FC5 has already broken down. Cleaning performance and effort are out of all proportion. A really bad product from Kärcher. I am otherwise very satisfied with Kärcher products - unfortunately, the Kärcher FC5 is unusable and susceptible.

I got the hard floor cleaner yesterday, but unfortunately I had to get an adapter first, which was a pity. After studying the instructions for use for a long time, I could finally start cleaning. I think it cleans very well, is not so loud, only the cable is too short. Changing the tanks for filling and emptying is also very easy. It saves me a lot of work and effort.
