    Deceptive specification ...but it works.

The Axing specs are the same industry-standard lies as WiFi AP lies.

    Headline specification: 500 Mbps
Backtracking in the detailed specification: 500 "Gross", 230 Mbps "net".
Reality:: +/- 100 Mbps (full duplex) -- with
13m of decent quality coax & nothing else (coax consumers, splitters etc) in the line.
Dead giveaway is the Cat.5 (100 Mbps max) patch cables in the box -- I used my own Cat.6 patches ...still only 100 Mbps.

The Axing boxes worked well enough to get my new systems installed and configured, but went back in their boxes when Covid lockdown eased and my second Cet.6 line was pulled.

There are EoC boxes on the market with 2.5 Gbps specs (and just like the Axing spec - divide by two and deduct 25% = maybe +/- 1 Gbps in reality), but they are not available in Switzerland.

Worth buying for my temporary use-case, but don't be surprised by the specification:reality gap.

    Pro

    • Solid 100 Mbps full duplex

    Contra

    • Nowhere near 500 Mbps spec
    • Not even close to 230 Mbps net spec
  • perret.dav

Expensive and does not work in all cases

Expensive and doesn't work properly, the support wasn't much help either. Couldn't get the 2 parts to sync up, though not that far apart.
