By far the loudest thing on my PC. The blue light that comes on when the drive is running suits my PC very well. There is software included to burn DVDs and monitor how much power you save with the drive. (Permanently at 0 for me)
All in all, the drive serves its purpose and is a good buy for the price.Good and inexpensive Blue-Ray drive
