Seeing your face every morning in the mirror just isn’t enough? Then you should apply and lend your face to thousands of robots. There's cash in it: no less than 127,000 francs, to be precise.

A private robotics company has commissioned the British company Geomiq to find a kind and friendly face for future humanoid robots. Geomiq has now published a blog article and is calling on people to apply with their own faces. Licensing the rights to your face won't only mean you'll get to meet an Android clone of yourself, you'll also receive 127,000 francs.

Although no details are given about the robot project, it seems to be quite advanced, as the article mentions that the project has been in development for five years. And what we do know is that that it's not going to be a sex robot. The aim, as the article described, is to market a state-of-the-art humanoid robot that acts as a virtual friend for elderly people.

In their blog article, Geomiq also mentions that the selected person’s face will be reproduced on potentially thousands of versions of the robots worldwide. The project is still secret due to non-disclosure agreements, but it will go into production as early as next year.

Would you license your face for cash? If so, feel free to send your photo to faces@geomiq.com .

I find my muse in everything. When I don’t, I draw inspiration from daydreaming. After all, if you dream, you don’t sleep through life.
