The perfect desk for your child

The work table plays an essential role in a child's concentration. If they have to do their homework in a place that they don't like or that isn't suitable for them, they won't be able to work properly. The desk should be laid out in such a way as to encourage the desire to learn. Above all, children should not be distracted by toys lying around, noises, telephone conversations or family members talking to each other.
Most children don't really like doing their homework. No wonder, because the world is full of magic and surprises. They prefer to have fun with their toys, which multiply the opportunities to stumble around the flat. To ensure that the little rascals have a future and can look after us when we retire, we still need to roll up our sleeves from time to time. The following tips will help to create an optimal working environment for your offspring.
Your own office
If your home is big enough, the ideal would be to place the child's desk in a quiet room, intended solely for learning. As soon as he enters it, the child's body and mind know that it's time to learn, and the child is able to concentrate more quickly. A height-adjustable table is optimal - it grows with the child.
Desk chair - comfortable and preserves the back
Monitor your child's position when doing homework, as this has an influence on learning behaviour.
- The child should be able to put their feet flat on the floor.
- There should still be enough room between the thighs and the table, so that the child can move. Children fidget a lot when they're learning.
- When the child's arms are vertical, the elbows form a 90° angle on the tabletop.
- The back of the chair supports the back at hip level.
- The space under the desk should not be crowded, as the child needs enough legroom.
Office accessories
As well as the desk and chair to go with it, the child also needs a desk lamp, a filing option, a low shelf to store all the class stuff and a rolling container.

When it comes to office supplies, I believe in form and function. From pens, scissors, paper notes to glittery glue and funky folders. That’s what I’m about at work. When I’m not busy checking out the latest desk accessories, I enjoy jetting off to remote corners of the world, lifting weights or taking an evening walk.
