"Suits - L.A.": Will stars from the original series return?

The lawyer series "Suits" is currently experiencing its second spring as a streaming hit in the USA. Series creator Aaron Korsh is now officially writing a spin-off for NBC: "Suits - L.A.". Could there be a reunion with actors from the parent series?
The US network NBC has ordered a pilot for a spin-off of the successful lawyer series "Suits". Series creator Aaron Korsh will work on the new series entitled "Suits - L.A.". This comes as no surprise after the rumours of recent months. "Suits" was the most streamed series in the USA last year after it was first included on Netflix, according to market research institute Nielsen (via The Hollywood Reporter). This is despite the fact that the last episode of the series flickered across screens in September 2019.
What's planned?
Not much is yet known about the second instalment of the original series "Suits". Aaron Korsh will write "Suits - L.A." and once again serve as executive producer together with Dave Bartis, Doug Liman and Gene Klein, who already produced the parent series. Victoria Mahoney will direct the pilot. Production is scheduled to begin in Vancouver in March. Accordingly, the series could start in September for the 2024/25 series season. A release in German-speaking countries can then probably be expected in summer 2025.
The spin-off will centre on Ted Black: a former federal prosecutor from New York. He has reinvented himself and represents powerful clients in his new home of Los Angeles. His law firm is in crisis at the beginning of the series and in order to overcome this, he has to take on a role that he has despised throughout his career, according to the series description. In the process, Black is surrounded by a group of characters who test their loyalty to both Ted and each other. As in the parent series, the characters' individual stories will play a major role. The mixing of private and professional life is the order of the day. And in the process, the events that led Black to leave everything and everyone he loved behind will gradually unravel.
Is a return of the original actors possible?
The actors of the series are not yet known. Nor whether any of the original actors will return. However, the rumour mill has been churning for some time. According to Daily Express, Meghan Markle has reportedly been offered a mega deal. In return, she could even take her first seat in the director's chair for at least one episode. As a recognised tabloid, however, the Daily Express seems suspicious as a source. Former "Suits" lead actor Patrick J. Adams has also repeatedly emphasised recently that he would be interested in reprising his role. "If I get the call, I'm ready to get dressed again. I love the show, I love the character and I loved working with all those employees," he said before this year's Golden Globe Awards, for example.
Reunion of the "Suits" stars at the 2024 Golden Globes
A reunion of the "Suits" stars took place at the Golden Globe Awards on 7 January 2024. Gabriel Macht and Patrick J. Adams took to the stage together for the announcement of the award in the category "Best TV Drama" and were suddenly joined by their former series colleagues Gina Torres and Sarah Rafferty. Unfortunately, Meghan Markle and my personal showstealer Rick Hoffman
were missing
