Pixel 4 to come with 90 Hz smooth display

The Pixel 4 rumour mill is buzzing. Now 9to5Google reports on new alleged details. A display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz is expected.
It's always the same: a new top smartphone is on the way and to tantalise us customers, specifications are leaked in bite-sized portions. This time, a source from 9to5Google is to blame for letting us know more about the Pixel 4, which is expected in October.

According to reports, the new Pixel will be released with 5.7-inch and 6.3-inch displays. The special thing about the built-in panels is that they will come with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. Google calls this "Smooth Display". This is easier on the eyes for all applications, if they actually run at 90 FPS, and provides a much smoother user experience. According to the rumour mill, the Pixel 4 will still be equipped with a 2800 mAh battery or 3700 mAh battery (XL version). That doesn't sound like a lot, so we can only hope that the 90 Hz won't become a problem here.

Other known specifications leaked so far include two cameras on the back of the Pixel 4, one with 12 megapixels and one with a 16-megapixel telephoto lens. The smartphones are powered by the usual current flagship processor - the Snapdragon 855. 6 GB of RAM is to be installed to counteract the rather poor memory management of the Pixel 3. Infrared sensors are to ensure secure unlocking of the smartphone using FaceID. The Pixel will also be able to be operated with gestures thanks to the radar chip - even when it is in a trouser pocket.
The Pixel 4 is expected to be released on 4 October 2019. We will of course keep you up to date on this. <p
