Now also in white: the Clara Colour e-reader with colour display from Kobo

The Clara Colour displays colour content and makes the overview of your e-book library more colourful. Now it also changes colour on the outside.
The world of e-readers consists almost exclusively of black, at least as far as the casing is concerned. The manufacturer Kobo is now launching a white version of its black entry-level model Clara Colour. You can order the device from us

The specifications of the white and black versions are the same. My colleague Michelle has tested the e-reader and highlights the colour display of the affordable device. However, she doesn't think the Clara Colour is suitable for colourful comics. The e-reader is also well received by our customers: On average, it receives 4.7 out of five stars in the 99 product ratings.
The device is equipped with a «E Ink Kaleido 3» display. The third generation of the manufacturer's e-paper technology can display up to 4096 colours. The colour saturation is 30 per cent higher compared to the previous version. The screen diagonal is six inches, the resolution 1448 × 1072 pixels. The pixel density depends on the colour: black and white content is displayed at 300 ppi, colours at 150 ppi.
If the e-reader goes diving, it's no problem: it is waterproof to IPX8 and feels at home in water depths of up to two metres for up to 60 minutes. According to the manufacturer, it can also withstand «sea splashes», i.e. salt water. However, as salt water can damage the material, you should be careful.
According to Koba, the 1500 mAh battery lasts up to 42 days with 30 minutes of daily use and 30% display brightness. The internal memory offers space for 16 gigabytes. The Clara Colour can also play audio books - if you connect Bluetooth speakers or headphones to it.

Feels just as comfortable in front of a gaming PC as she does in a hammock in the garden. Likes the Roman Empire, container ships and science fiction books. Focuses mostly on unearthing news stories about IT and smart products.
