Universal lens: 70-180mm
At the same time, Nikon is launching a telephoto lens with a focal length of 70-180 millimetres and a lens speed of f/2.8. It is a cheaper alternative to the existing 70-200mm with the same speed.
In a direct comparison, the lower weight is particularly noticeable: 795 grams compared to 1430 grams for the 70-200mm lens. With the shortest focal length, you can also get much closer: the closest focusing distance is 27 centimetres and the maximum magnification is 1:2.1.
