Minisforum barebones: X1 Pro and MS-A2 now also without SSD and RAM

If you want to equip the Mini-PCs from Minisforum with SSD and RAM yourself, you can now opt for a barebone.
The compact PCs from Minisforum are well received by the Community. Some of you keep asking for barebone versions of the mini servers. The MS-A2 and the X1 Pro are now also available from us without SSD and RAM. You can buy other barebones from the manufacturer from third-party providers via our marketplace. You can find all available models here.
Minisforum X1 Pro: for AI applications
The AI X1 Pro is a co-pilot PC and is therefore designed with a special focus on artificial intelligence. Equipped with a processor including an integrated NPU (Neural Processing Unit) - the AMD AI 9 HX 370 with twelve cores - it offers accelerated performance for local AI applications. This is particularly relevant for developers who want to train or test AI models without having to constantly rely on cloud services.

The AMD Radeon 890M, an integrated graphics chip that is also suitable for gaming, is responsible for the graphics. You can assign it up to 48 gigabytes of RAM. As a barebone, the device has neither mass storage nor RAM. With the two RAM slots, you can use up to 96 gigabytes of DDR5 RAM.
You can operate four monitors on this PC via HDMI, 2x USB 4 and display port. You also have three USB-A, two Ethernet (2.5G), a 3.5 millimetre socket and Oculink connections at your disposal. An SD card reader and a fingerprint sensor are also on board. The computer measures 195 × 195 × 47 millimetres. The power supply unit is housed in the casing.
The PC is also available from us prebuilt with 32, 64 and 96 gigabytes of RAM.
Minisforum MS-A2-9955: as a home lab
We have only had the MS-A2-9955 as a [complete version(/s1/product/minisforum-ms-a2-9955-amd-ryzen-9-9955hx-96-gb-2000-gb-pc-59701358) with 64 or 96 gigabytes of RAM for a few weeks. It is now available as a barebone without SSD and RAM.
The AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX Zen 5 processor has 16 cores and is currently one of the high-end CPUs for compact computers. It has an integrated graphics chip, although this is only suitable for basic image output. An NPU is not on board. Thanks to two 10-gigabit SFP+ connections and a PCIe x16 slot, this computer offers a good basis for a wide range of use cases.
In this article, I presented the computer in more detail.

Feels just as comfortable in front of a gaming PC as she does in a hammock in the garden. Likes the Roman Empire, container ships and science fiction books. Focuses mostly on unearthing news stories about IT and smart products.
